The Role

Tekmar Energy is looking to recruit a Test Engineer to join the Engineering Team and coordinate and deliver all testing activities, including but not limited to Design Verification, Client Training, Product Development, and R&D activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure full compliance to HSEQ requirements for all testing activities, working with the HSEQ department to produce and communicate risk assessments and toolbox talks
  • Schedule and deliver test activities for new and existing products/projects
  • Support the safe supervision of less experienced staff and third parties, throughout testing
  • Liaise with Manufacturing and Engineering to develop test fixtures, procedures, and test programs
  • Develop test processes to support existing needs, permit future growth, and enhance overall efficiency
  • Review test procedures and support in developing testing methodology to reflect real-life scenarios
  • Compile and analyse data obtained from test activities in support of producing test reports
  • Draft and issue internal progress reports for test activities
  • Own and maintain all testing assets and associated ancillaries such as lifting equipment, pressure vessels, measurement equipment
  • Work with the senior team to develop test equipment strategy
  • Work with team to produce maintenance schedules and suggest periodic upgrades

Qualifications and Experience

Qualifications

  • HND or Higher in Engineering

Experience/Knowledge

  • Strong technical/mechanical awareness.
  • Basic knowledge in the use of standard Microsoft programs
  • Methodical attitude towards problem-solving
  • Self-motivated and strong organisational skills
  • OPITO Lifting and Slinging Training, level 1 or above
  • Knowledge of statutory maintenance legislation; LOLER, PSSR, PWER etc
  • Working at heights training
  • Cherry Picker / Scissor Lift training
  • Telehandler and forklift training
  • Overhead crane training
  • IOSH Managing Safely
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in Subsea/OWF/Oil & Gas products
