The Role

Subsea Innovation is looking for an experienced Service Technician to join the Production Team. The role is based in Darlington, UK and will involve assembly, testing, delivery, installation, commissioning, and repair of projects for the Offshore Energy Sector. Works are to be conducted within the workshop environment and on site at our client’s facilities/vessels, working with light and heavy engineering fabrications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assembly of complex structural components to technical drawings
  • Ensuring a quality build, following assembly & inspection procedures
  • Provide technical assistance for customers, which may involve site visits of both a national and international nature both offshore & onshore
  • Assist with fault finding and detailed service reporting when conducting service work
  • Maintenance of Workshop Equipment, Tools and Environment
  • Promotion of Quality, efficiency, and high standard of work ethic
  • To assist the Production Team conducting tasks as detailed by the Head of Construction.

Qualifications and Experience

  • HNC in Mechanical Engineering
  • Level 3 Qualification in an Engineering discipline
  • At least 3 years in similar manufacturing/engineering environment
  • Basic machining skills, lathe turning, milling, electrical hand tools
  • ROV handling equipment operation
  • Hydraulic circuits and component operation
  • Ability to understand Electrical schematics and circuitry
  • Mechanical, Hydraulic & electrical fitting skills

  • Willingness to travel (UK & overseas)

  • Offshore Survival and Medical Certification (Training can be provided)
  • Valid driving licence
