The Role

Subsea Innovation is looking for an ambitious Graduate Proposal Engineer to join a highly creative and technical sales team experienced in the design and build of equipment for use both offshore and subsea. The successful candidate will assist the Proposal Manager in the development of solutions from initial enquiry and analysis of customer requirements to assisting with the preparation of proposals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of written quotations and proposals
  • Interact with clients with confidence
  • Maintain company working practices and overall ethos
  • Assist in the completion of cost plans and project schedules
  • Attendance of client meetings
  • Attendance at trade shows and events with UK and overseas client visits
  • Assist in the development and maintain standardised documentation packs for proposals whilst recognising the occasional need to comply with customer-specific RFQ requirements
  • Assist in the preparation of Project Handover Packages
  • Support across the business and any other item as deemed necessary within the regular course of business
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of products and services

Qualifications and Experience


  • 1st or 2:1 Mechanical Engineering or Commercial Degree


  • CAD skills, preferably Autodesk and Inventor
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Experience in writing technical engineering proposals is advantageous but not essential
