Role Title: Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer

The Role

Subsea Innovation is looking for an ambitious Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer to join a highly creative and technical team experienced in the design of equipment for use both offshore and subsea. The successful candidate will be based in Darlington, UK and work with the engineering team taking conceptual designs from a blank sheet of paper through to manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Be able to manage your time and work to a schedule and deadlines
  • Interact with clients with confidence
  • Maintain company working practices and overall ethos
  • Preparation and review of technical documentation
  • Provide technical support for workshop production
  • Assist in the preparation of technical tenders and budgets
  • Attendance of client meetings
  • Detailed engineering
  • Liaise with and manage external support on technical work scopes

Qualifications and Experience

  • 1st or 2:1 Mechanical Engineering Degree
  • CAD skills, preferably Autodesk and Inventor
  • Knowledge of ANSYS package
  • Understanding of the industry codes, ASME, NORSOK, DNVMicrosoft Office
