AgileTek Engineering, part of Tekmar Group plc, has signed an Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Blue Wind Engineering to cooperate on expanding within the offshore wind industry in South Korea.
AgileTek are an award-winning subsea engineering consultancy. AgileTek de-risk offshore projects through advanced simulation and analysis, supporting some of the world’s leading companies.
Manuel Pimentel, AgileTek Business Development Manager in Asia, said: “South Korea is a key market in terms of offshore wind for AgileTek. The ambitious targets of offshore wind energy set up by the Korean government mean that the market is going to experience fast development in the near future and we regard this as a fantastic opportunity to export our expertise in fixed and floating offshore wind to the region”.
Blue Wind Engineering is a RES representative in South Korea, established to contribute to the development of wind power, offering services ranging from the design of wind farms to certification support of wind power components, production and construction.
In addition to the memorandum of understanding, both parties also agreed to share bilateral knowledge about future projects and joint sales strategy within the regional offshore wind market.
